Student Council
The goal of NHEA Student Council is to train young people to plan ahead, lead their peers, and serve their community as well as to provide a fun-filled, God-centered space for homeschoolers aged 7th-12th grade. The Council consists of two groups: the Executive Board, which is made up of various officers (including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Service Project Leader, and Reporter/Historian) and the Representatives for High School and Junior High. These two groups, Officers and Representatives, are elected in the spring to serve through the following school year. Their role is mainly to make decisions on behalf of the student body, facilitate monthly meetings, and plan/lead events throughout the school year.
Events that have been popular year after year include:
- Murder Mystery Dinner
- Christmas Party
- Gnome Relay
- Kick-off event
- Powder Puff
- Bunco
- Game Night

But these are not the only activities! Every month a member of the council will lead an event and invite the student body to attend, many are familiar favorites but every year houses some brand new fun. In addition, this 26/27 school year we will be introducing the Service Project Leader as a new officer role on the Council, this will reinforce the value of serving others in our student body, help raise support for needs in the community, and provide service opportunities during the school year! Please visit the NHEA Calendar and follow the Student Council Instagram page (nheastudentcouncil) for updates and announcements of meetings and upcoming events. We hope to see you this year!
NHEA Student Council is subject to the NHEA Board and is overseen by our wonderful parent advisors: Rachel Miller and Christy Acosta ([email protected])
